Eunice Champion
Eunice Champ Champion is a Senior Academic Developer in the Teaching Excellence Cluster at the Nelson Mandela University. Her primary duties are to coordinate teaching development programmes, which are the Teaching Enhancement Programme and Early Career Academics Advancement Programme. Her focus areas within the programmes are scholarly teaching in higher education and assessment of students learning. Before joining the Nelson Mandela University, Champ was working as a student development consultant at the University of Fort Hare where she was coordinating Supplementary Instruction and Peer Assisted Student Services Programmes. Her passion is to adequately support early career academics as they navigate their career paths towards becoming capable higher education teachers. She serves as an executive member of the Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association of Southern Africa (HELTASA) and a project co-coordinator of the Academic Development Leaders Special Interest Group (ADL SIG). Champ is a candidate of the Doctor of Business Administration in Higher Education Management (Bath University). Her research focus is on students’ assessment experiences in higher education.
Muntu Chili
Dr. Muntu Chili is currently appointed as the Executive Director for the Centre for Academic Development at the Vaal University of Technology. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Zululand which he obtained in 2011. He worked as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at the University of Zululand between 2006 to June 2013. From July 2013 to June 2021, he worked at Mangosuthu University of Technology as Deputy Director in the Teaching and Learning Development Centre. He has developed himself by completing Post Graduate Certificate in Education with UNISA and Management Development Programme with University of Stellenbosch. He further enrolled for a Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education for Academic Developers with Rhodes University, and graduated in 2017. These qualification and exposure have enabled him with necessary skills and knowledge as he works in a dynamic environment.

Dr Ntsoaki Malebo
Ntsoaki Malebo holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University of the Free State and a Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education from Rhodes University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership Development from the University of Stellenbosch. She is currently appointed as a Senior Director at the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching at the Central University of Technology, Free State. She is currently involved in academic staff development, a project coordinator for the HELTASA ADL SIG. She is an NRF grant holder registered as a Professional Natural Scientist with SACNASP (South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions). She supervises students at Masters and Doctoral level in the field of Food Safety with a research focus in the use of indigenous knowledge systems for food preservation aligned with SDG 12 which places emphasis on sustainable production and consumption. She has published work in peer reviewed journals and presented at local and international conferences.
