ECP National Task Team
The Extended Curriculum Programmes (ECP) National Task Team is a national collaborative initiative established following the National ECP Summit hosted by the University of Johannesburg in March 2026. The Task Team was constituted to advance the priorities, recommendations, and commitments agreed to by the sector and to provide ongoing leadership on matters related to Extended Curriculum Programmes in South African higher education.
Our Priorities
The Task Team is committed to advancing the key priorities:
- Coordinating national ECP activities and initiatives.
- Developing a national repository of ECP research and resources.
- Establishing formal communication channels with DHET.
- Supporting policy understanding and sector guidance.
- Identifying strategic research priorities for the ECP sector.
- Building partnerships with other national higher education bodies.
