This interactive session creates space for you to reflect on your professional identity, practice, contribution, and resonance within higher education, while considering where you would like to grow next. Whether you are an academic or professional staff member, the session encourages you to see professional learning not as a linear journey or a once-off achievement, but as an ongoing, reflective process shaped by experience, relationships, collaboration, and evidence of your contribution.

Through a guided reflective journey, you will explore your aspirations, current practice, possible areas for development, meaningful next steps, and ways of making your growth and influence visible through a living portfolio.  Thus, answering key questions: Who are you as a higher education professional? Who would you like to become and how can you make that journey visible?

What to expect:

This two-hour interactive online workshop combines personal reflection, short knowledge-sharing sessions, small-group conversations, and practical portfolio thinking. You will have opportunities to:

• Reflect on who you are now and who you would like to become as a higher education professional.
• Explore different pathways for professional growth, contribution, and impact.
• Identify areas you would like to develop and one meaningful next step.
• Consider how reflection, colleagues, networks, and collaboration can support your development.
• Reimagine your portfolio as a living reflection of your professional journey, rather than simply a collection of evidence.
• Explore how narrative and evidence can make your contribution and impact visible across pathways such as recognition, career progression, leadership, projects, funding, and professional learning.

By the end of the session, you will have a clearer understanding of your professional journey, areas for growth, and a meaningful next step, along with practical ways to capture and showcase your development, contribution, and impact through a living portfolio.
