HELTASA Gender, Higher Education and Decoloniality Event

Join the HELTASA Decolonisation National Interest group for a Critical Conversation that explores the intersection of Gender, Higher Education and Decoloniality in the South African context. Following a dialogue series in 2023 which sought to establish ‘where we are’ in relation to the decolonial project, this critical conversation builds on the call for reflective engagements on key areas. Through this Critical Conversation, we hope to foster a space for collaborative and productive provocations among colleagues within, and beyond, academia. Two colleagues will offer provocations in this regard:

  • Prof. Gcobani Qambela, University of Johannesburg, South Africa
  • Dr Phemelo Hellemann, Rhodes University, South Africa

Following the provocations we will have discussions among participants. Please join the Critical Conversation using this link: MS Teams Link.
