Venue

The Walter Sisulu University Potsdam campus is located about 32 kms outside East London on the R102. You should plan for about 30 minutes to get from your accommodation to the venue.

Directions from East London: Take the N2 westbound towards Qonce/Makhanda. Turn left at the 1025 exit towards R102/M17/East London/Mdantsane. Then turn right onto the R102. The campus will be on your right after 5 kms.

Accommodation

There are several hotels, guesthouses and BnBs in East London. WSU recommends the following hotel options:

• Premier Hotel East London ICC (Esplanade Street, Quigney Beachfront)
• Premier Hotel Regent (Esplanade Street, Quigney Beachfront)
• Garden Court East London (Esplanade Street, Quigney Beachfront)
• Hotel Osner East London (Corner John Bailie and Moore Streets, Quigney Beachfront)
• Hemingways Hotel and Casino (next to Hemingways Mall, Western Avenue)

Travel

Participants from outside the Eastern Cape can fly to King Phalo airport in East London. Airline options are Safair (from Johannesburg, Cape Town or Durban), Airlink or Cemair (Johannesburg only). For travel to between the campus and your accommodation it is recommended to hire a car or arrange a lift.
